My answer to “What do you want for Christmas?” at 6 years old was:
— “I want to be fluent in English!”
— “You’re sure you don’t want a bike?” answered Mum, uneasy.
I was so curious about those sounds I could hear in songs on TV... It felt like a secret language to me. I could understand most of it through body language and facial expressions. That’s when I understood that an image speaks louder than words. And probably the reason why I spent my professional life playing with images, icons, and clichés, and became an art director.
I am also interested in culture: I was born and raised in Paris, lived 10 years in Vancouver, Canada, and am currently living in Barcelona, Spain.
